This is a pie that I think you will like. No pizza pan? Don't let that stop you. Roll dough into 13-14 inch circles; place on ungreased baking sheet.
Pastry For 8-9 Inch Two Crust Pie
6-7 Tart Apples
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
Crumble Topping (see below)
Heat Oven To 450 Degrees.
Prepare, Then Roll Pastry 1 Inch Larger Than 12-13 Inch Pizza Pan.
Ease Into Pizza Pan; Flute Edge.
Do Not Prepare Apples; Cut Into Slices, About 1/2 Inch Thick.
Beginning At Edge Of Crust And Overlapping Slices, Cover Crust With Apples.
Stri Together Sugar, Cinnamon And Nutmeg; Spinkle Over Aplles Slices.
Top With Crumble Topping.
Bake 30-40 Minutes Or Until Edge Is Golden Brown And Apples Are Tender.
Best Served Warm And, If Desired, Topped With Cinnamon Ice Cream.
(CRUMBLE TOPPING: Mix 3/4 cup of all purpose flour*, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup firm butter or margarine until crumbly).
[do not use self rising flour]
